Here we are, at the end of another year. 2016 was a doozie in so many ways — I’m sure many of you feel this way, too. Our little family has so much to be grateful for, so it seems silly to mention all of the not-so-happy things that happened in the last 365 or so days. Amy (over at DIY Candy) pretty much summed up my feelings about 2016:
I know that a flip of the calendar page doesn’t make things different — really. But it is the hope of a new start. A fresh, blank white sheet. A whole new year of possibilities. Come on, 2017!
Obviously, becoming a new parent (x2) has been the greatest thing that happened to me in 2016. Our little ones are happy, healthy, and thriving. I can’t believe that less than 365 days ago they were tiny two-pound and four-pound babies. They make me laugh every day!
I’m actually not sure how I’ve accomplished anything this year besides feed, clean, and diaper two babies. But, I did manage to squeeze in some little projects. Here are a few of my favorites:
A driftwood and crochet wall hanging.
A dream catcher that I decided was too “girly” for the nursery.
A crochet mandala.
A colorful mobile for the babes.

The most favorited, and also the top seller, for 2016 goes to this David Bowie embroidery pattern. We love David Bowie around here, and I think his death might have had something to do with the babies coming. I was admitted for 24-hour monitoring the day he passed — I guess Everly was as upset as I was.
The most popular pattern for 2016 goes to the Whisper Cowl! Congratulations!
I’m wishing you all the best in 2017! Let’s fill it with love, peace, and happiness as much as we can. Let’s smile more, take more opportunities for kindness, and make more room for what’s good . . . so there’s less room for what’s bad. Take care, and I’ll see you after a brief holiday break!
