So, about that work-in-progress . . .

Hello out there! Way back in October, I mentioned that I had an enormous WIP going on. And then I disappeared.

Well.

Here is that project:

Twins Arlo and Everly

After a long, uncomfortable bed-resting – both at home and in the hospital – and a long stay in the NICU, we finally got to bring home our little babes: Arlo and Everly!

I have so much to say about this experience and about being a new mom to twins, but I am still settling in to this new life. I will be taking things really slow here until I can get a handle on it all, and until I decide exactly how much of this new part of my life I want to share here.

In the meantime, please keep checking in for the free patterns here, and for new patterns in the shops here and here! I super-appreciate all of your support, and I have high hopes for (re)building up some crafty steam!

See you soon!

  1. Heidi Congratulations with your twins!!
I hope you are all doing well!!
It surely was an enormous WIP, but it will be the most beautiful one of your life!!
Take your time to get settled with these beauties and you have your hands full, not much time left for other things.
You have to enjoy every moment with them, they grow so fast.
Time for craftsy things will come later again as they grow older and give you more time for yourself.

  2. Congratulations.!!!!! Do take your time and enjoy every minute with your babies. Be sure to take care of yourself too. Show them every chance you get.!!! Love Hugs god Bless.!!

  3. Oh Heidi, I am so very happy for you!! I had wondered where you went. What an amazing WIP. I hope you are enjoying every single minute, they are just too adorable! I bet you are just thrilled, no rush on crafty stuff! Just post when you are able.
Enjoy the baby cuddles with those precious little ones as much as you can!! I wish you all the best & many congratulations! <3

  4. Oh what ADORABLE WIPs you have!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! As others have mentioned, the first years go by SO FAST; and you don’t want to miss a single second (ie: take LOADS of videos and photos)! So PLEASE let these adorable WIPs take ALL of your time (except for your “ME time”) and come back to the blog when you’re good and ready! <3

  5. Oh My! Your most beautiful WIP yet! and certainly the one that takes up most of your time and energy!
Back in my younger days, I thought sure (and secretly hoped!) that I would have twins, since twins were in hubby’s family EVERY generation. But I was not blessed with twins. The Lord knew what He was doing for sure. The four children I did have are awesome adults now and I’m so proud of each and every one of them….and they are loving and supportive of me as well.

Enjoy every moment, they go by so fast and before you know it, these precious little ones will be all grown up! I DO so miss having little ones around. Every time I see a baby in public, I have to go and talk with him/her – just to get a smile or two.

God bless you and your family!
